Oahu: Where to Stay

Alohoa! Well its been nearly a year since with visited "The Circle". What a fantastic place it was. Right on the water. Our holiday started here, we then boarded Carnival Spirit, sailed around the Hawaiian Island, then onto Vancouver and Alaska. Our stay was one of the highlights of our trip - one day we shall return and we often recommend "The Circle" to our friends.

I recently stayed 6nights at the circle hotel with my husband and 2 children. It was the best vacation ever. The location of this hotel is perfect. And for the price you wont beat. Rooms are clean and staff is great. You do not need to rent a car if you are staying here. Public transportion is so easy and the drivers are so nice and loaded with information that you will never know unless you hear it from a native. Or someone with knowledge of the island. I will stay here again in a heartbeat. I want to go back already. This was our 1st time in Hawaii and definately not the last. yeah for a good time Rebecca Ramirez

This is my first time in Hawaii. I booked my room at ResortQuest Waikiki Circle because of the reasonable price. I read all reviews before going and I was worrying how my room is going to look like. When I get there I was so surprised. The room is not too small, bathroom ok and very clean, cleaner than other 3-star hotels I stayed at. Staff is courteous and friendly. They even keep our luggage when we check out earlier than our flight schedule. We had a pleasant vacation and if we have a chance to come back to Hawaii we certainly will stay at Waikiki Circle again. Mahalo.

We stayed feb17 thru feb24 ,2008 . 11 of us in four rooms. Great location! Great service and friendly staff. Would like to stay again.

We just got back last week from one of the greatest times ever!! We stayed for 6 nites- my 3 daughters- 22, 19 & 18 & myself. The hotel was perfect!! The location cannot be beat... sure there are other fancier/ stuffier/ MUCH more expensive hotels around that offered the same view- by we got the same thing they did & for less! The rooms were fine. The bathroom- normal for a smaller hotel & yes, the shower was a bit tiny (but how long are you in the shower for crying out loud!!). The staff provided whatever we needed & were always friendly. I'll be back next year - this time w/o kids but with friends & most DEFINATELY will stay at the Circle. Mahalo!!

We've been to Oahu 12 times since 1999. We stayed the first two times at "other" hotels. Then we happened to see "The Circle" and thought we'd give it a try. Our last 10 visits we spent at "The Circle". And why not. We've been more than happy with the room, the view and the staff. We'll be going back again in September, 2006 for another fun time to a place we feel is "our home". Too bad it isn't forever. See you then Chip. Aloha....Mahalo for all you've done for us.

I stayed here for a week, Jan. 5-12, 2006. I loved this hotel, the view is amazing! I got a free upgrade, from partial ocean view to the ocean view and it was the best. Next time I will spend the money to stay in the ocean view room. The price for being up close to the beach is cheap, compared to all the other hotels on Waikiki. The best part is the room is the view, every morning I would eat breakfast on the balcony. Every thing is so close. A McDonald's next door and the ABC stores as well. This hotel is definately recommended to all of my friends and family!!!

I was a little worried before coming here, but wow. You step into the room and, yes, it's not huge, but once you open those curtains of an oceanfront view room and look out the superlarge balcony glass doors, it's well worth it. It was by far the best value hotel with an oceanfront we could find, and we will definitely be back here again. Yes, the showers are a bit small, but only a little smaller than a regular shower stall. The queen bed we had was supercomfy (and I have a fluffy featherbed at home), the staff friendly, and the location - steps from the beach. Walking distance to everything else! We never had a problem finding parking in the garage. It's a 4 star hotel in my opinion - at a cheaper price. It may not have all the bells and whistles, but it is definitely worth the price, unlike some hotels around. And to have a rainbow outside our window every morning - *sigh.* Very romantic!

1/17/06 Just spent 10 nights here it was fantastic, the rooms are not as small as other reviews claim. Sure the shower is small but how long are you in the shower? The rooms were very clean as well as the halls. The staff is very helpful a special thanks goes to Maura at the front desk. We will definitly stay on our next visit. Aloha

01/16/06 Great location...nice rooms, the only problem we encountered was the shower that didnt work but they fixed it so it was great! The price was awesome for the view we got and the location. Staff was very friendly and everything was just perfect!

01/16/06 We have been to Maui for the last 5 years and stopover in Honolulu on our way back to UK. We have been fleeced at some of the 5 star places and endured Guantanao Bay conditions at some of the budget chains Hotels. This year we tried the Waikiki Circle and it blew the socks off of all of the others. Super obliging staff, superb location, free entertainment across street, small but comfortable rooms, police across the street to reasure the nervous and great prices. Have seen cheap shots in other revues about size of bathrooms. If you used the lavatories on your flight out there, trust me, they are fine. Had some reservations about sending comments as I am afraid it will get too popular as it is the best kept secret in Waikiki and we will certainly use it again.

09/14/05 2 friends and I just stayed at the Circle for 6 days and 5 nights. It was an awesome experience--laid back though very helpful desk staff, clean rooms, and a newspaper outside the door every morning. The housekeeping staff even made sure that there were 3 fresh, clean bath towels, hand towels and washcloths every day. Gorgeous view of the ocean!

08/08/05 It was my first time to Hawaii and had the best time. Your hotel was all we needed, and near everything. The Staff were so helpful and friendly. I know all have already said this but thanks especially to Andrew for all of his help. I really hope to go back to your hotel some day in the future. Thanks once again.

04/27/05 Absolutly brilliant!! Stayed here for 2 weeks in April and had the best time in the Circle. I have stayed in at least 20 hotels in waikiki and can proudly say the circle is the best of them all. They have nice little touches like free inflatable rafts and a bucket and spade in the room. We upgraded our room to an ocean front for just $10.00 a night. The best $10.00 i have ever spent. The view was fabulous! I recomend upgrading your room. Special mention must go to Maura in the front office. I travel extensivly on business and stay in the worlds leading hotels and have never had better service than from Maura. She was so genuinly nice and warm. It felt so welcoming to come "home" after a long day by the beach. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel rocks my world!!!!

We recently (March 2005) stayed for 5 days at the "Circle"---Our 1st trip to Hawaii! This hotel is an absolutely wonderful location. Our room overlooked the beautiful beach & the room was very clean & comfortable. All of the staff was friendly & helpful. We were very pleased with our stay & will definitely stay again when we get to visit Oahu! It was GREAT!

We spent two weeks in Hawaii celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary in October, 2004. This was our second trip to Hawaii. We celebrated our 25th anniversary there too. I picked the Waikiki Circle from a picture! I thought it would be fun to stay in a circle hotel and it was. At the time of booking I wasn't aware of how convenient it was to beach, food and shopping. Really enjoyed the entertainment across the street every night. It was great! Great hotel for the price! Outstanding staff! You're #1 for hotels on Oahu in our opinion. Great place

We just completed another 5-star visit to Hawaii, mainly due to our stay at the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel. This was our 6th visit to "The Circle" and Chips staff were just as accomodating, helpful and friendly as the other 5 visits, even a little more so. Our thanks to Chip, John and Les for another enjoyable visit. We're already talking about another visit to "Paradise" and "The Circle". You couldn't ask for a better location to have fun. Thanks for being there.

My mother and I just got back from a week at the circle. The location is awesome! Right across the street from Kuhio beach. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are well kept. It was an overall awesome experience. It reminded us why Waikiki is our favorite vacation spot.

We had planned another visit to Oahu in September knowing that we'd have as much fun staying at your hotel as we have during the past 4 years. But...our plans had changed somewhat. Instead of waiting until September, we made "a spur of the moment" visit in May. And much to our delight the stay at the "Circle" was every bit as enjoyable as in the past 5 visits. We couldn't ask for a better place to spend our nights (days too). The staff at the hotel is second to none of all the hotels we've ever stayed in. Looking forward to being there again in September.

We had a great time in Waikiki. The hotel staff was polite and so helpful and we couldn't have asked for a better spot on the beach! We even watched the fireworks from our balcony. We're already planning a second trip in the fall.

We have been guests at the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel for 3 times already, and are looking forward to our 4th visit this coming September. We are counting the days until then as we have found this hotel to be a great place to spend a vacation. The rooms, location and personnel have provided us with the desired package to complete a very relaxing and fun time. Aloha.

I agree with all the previous comments from the guests. The Waikiki Circle is the best. They take the worry and hassle out of travel. The staff was more than anyone could ask for. The freindly smiles and helpful attitudes definately reflect the Aloha spirit. "The Circle" has now become my hotel of choice when I return to Oahu again and again and again. Mahalo Nui Loa....

The Waikiki Circle has now become our annual destination when on Oahu. Aston has done a fantastic job making this a family friendly property. The Circle's small scale, great staff and affordability make it a unique jewel in Waikiki.

This hotel is great! It always caught my eye with unique and fun style on the beach! Finally decided---why not try it out? The toy fish and pail in the bathroom were a nice touch to kick off a vacation at the beach. Every room has a big balcony. Even my "city view"room had a beautiful view of green tropical mountains! The front desk and housekeeping staff is so friendly and laid back. Cozy environment in a smaller hotel with casual onsite restaurant that had a locals-only feel. I stayed here last May and am going back in September and again and again!

What a wonderful experience we had at your hotel in April 2001. We can't wait to return for our anniversay in 2005. It was close to everything wonderful people and very cozy. Thank You ALOHA

This hotel could not have been any nicer. The staff was wonderful! Friendly, helpful! The view and location spectacular. The price was amazingly affordable. We had booked one night on Waikiki at the Circle before moving on to the Big Island and Maui. We loved it so much we extended our vacation and went back to the Circle to finish our trip. I want to live at the Waikiki Circle! Thanks to all for making our stay great!

Your hotel was dream. It was the most prfect little hotel in the world, with rooms that look out onto paradise...

Aloha...I stayed at the hotel last week. I've been to Hawaii many many times. The location was the best and most convenient. I just walked out the door, grabbed my surfboard and was in the water in a matter of minutes. I plan to come back and stay there every time. It makes travelling so easy. we had a great time in hawaii, we were there june 23-30. we'll definitely visit next year and stay at Aston Waikiki Circle. the hotel's location is one of the best. we had an oceanfront room and the view was breath-taking. the staff are all nice and accommodating. thanks for the experience.it is by our best vacation yet and we'll be back.

Just returned home after my 10th visit to this property. It is not a large unit or 5 star but the view is magnificient in the oceanfront rooms. The staff is very helpful and to me seem like family I can't wait to go back to see - especially Jan and Les. They have been there every time I have been. They made me feel like I had come home.

Staying here was perfect. The location, friendly staff, beautiful views and inexpensive cost were great!
