HONOLULU, HI – (January 10, 2012) – Aston Hotels & Resorts recently announced the winners of its One Million HawaiianMiles Sweepstakes. Each winner received the call, “Congratulations! You have won 100,000 HawaiianMiles, redeemable for travel anywhere Hawaiian Airlines flies!”
The ten 100,000 HawaiianMiles grand prize winners include: Terri B’Hymer of Renton, Wash.; Annette Brown of Poway, Calif.; Bonnie J. Davies of Las Vegas, Nev.; Barbara Daugherty of Amelia, Va.; Kathy Forbes of Minneapolis, Minn.; Dave Jorgensen of Wailuku, Hawaii; Margaret Kothakota of Stafford, Va.; Maiya Winston of Los Angeles, Calif.; Tiffany Tsuda of Honolulu, Hawaii and Ronald Yokoyama of Hilo, Hawaii.
Winning entrants now have the treasure of 100,000 HawaiianMiles in their mileage accounts. Now it’s decision time. Will their bounty take them to New York, the West Coast, Japan, Korea, Australia or Tahiti – or will they plan monthly trips to explore and enjoy another Hawaiian Island? The choice is theirs.
When Barbara Daugherty was asked where she plans to travel with the miles that she’s won she responded, “Hawaii, of course. I have always DREAMED of going to Hawaii and I can hardly believe that I have won these miles to help me to get there. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
Barbara and her husband plan to use the miles for their 30th anniversary celebration. Their visit to Hawaii will be the dream honeymoon they never had.
As for how Dave Jorgensen will use his winning miles, “We’ve been trying to make it back to the east coast to visit my mother and the rest of my family and we plan to use the miles to fly to New York City on Hawaiian Airlines.”
Margaret Kothakota plans to travel to Kauai, her favorite island, in May 2013 and stay for four weeks!
Terri B'Hymer hopes to take her husband to Maui, with a swing through Honolulu to visit her sister and family.
Ron Yokohama is excited to visit New York City again. He plans to bring his family to experience Broadway shows, Times Square, great restaurants and possibly take in the United States Tennis Association Open Championship. “It’s an exciting Hawaiian Air destination,” he said.
Annette Brown is thinking of somewhere adventurous because she and her husband are avid hikers. New Zealand, perhaps?
Maiya Winston’s goddaughter was recently born in Honolulu and these miles came at the perfect time! She and her daughter will be able to fly to Honolulu to spend time with new baby and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii! “We are both very excited,” she exclaimed.
In addition to the ten grand prize winners, another three first place winners were awarded a 4-night stay at one of Aston’s Oahu or Maui resorts: Daniel Samera of Fairfield, Calif.; Gabriel Harville of Papaikou, Hawaii; and Diane Carter of Sacramento, Calif.
