Aston Hotels & Resorts and KRATER 96 Radio Will Shake, Rattle & Pro Bowl in Waikiki
HONOLULU, HI (January 25, 2011) – Aston Hotels & Resorts presents the KRATER 96 “Shake Rattle & Pro Bowl” Stage 6, packed with entertainment at the 2011 Pro Bowl All-Star Block Party on Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki. The street party begins at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 29th.
At the Aston Hotels & Resorts stage, located near the giant beachside banyan tree fronting the Aston Waikiki Beachside Hotel and Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel, the evening will begin with a rousing performance from The Pacific Fleet Band's "Hang Ten" entertaining from 6:45 p.m. to 7:40 p.m. This dynamic, contemporary military ensemble is led by Chief Musician Scott Helwig. Their music ranges from the '60s to today's latest hits.
Next in the line-up – an hour-long performance by Hawaii's All-Beatles memory band, Rubber Soul, featuring authentic sound, instruments and costumes to take an audience back to 1964. At 8:50 p.m. the Pro Bowl Cheerleaders will pump up the crowd.
At 9 p.m., Robert Shinoda and Friends take the stage for an hour-long finale. This 9-piece band, hand picked for the party, features some of Hawaii's finest award-winning musicians, including; Little Albert Maligmat, Tani Lynn, DeShannon Higa, The Ornery Horns, Garin Poliahu, Dean Taba and Aron Nelson. Shinoda leads the band and plays guitar, jumping from jazz to R&B and rock.
